Graduate CAD Technician – Up to £26K depending on experience – Boroughbridge – Full Time – Permanent – Contributory Pension Scheme – On-site Parking – 22 days holiday plus the bank holidays, (rising to 25) with the option to purchase an extra week.

Job Description:
The main purpose of the Graduate CAD Technician is to produce and follow up on CAD drawings for customer orders, in line with their requirements.

Key duties include:
• To complete layout drawings.
• To assist customers in the design of washrooms.
• Advise customers on product range and specifications as well as additional sundries/products.
• To liaise with customers/ Sales to get order/drawing details confirmed.
• To ensure drawings are in line with product ranges and production capabilities.
• To manage customer sign-off within agreed deadline.
• To update and maintain fitting instructions, technical data sheets etc.
• Support the Area team.
• Liaise with the Production department and attend Production meetings.
• Use the CRM software to ensure the communication flow is maintained.
• Update the sales order to reflect changes made during the drawing/design process.
• To ensure orders with pro-forma payments are managed so that the appropriate payment is made prior to manufacture.
• Carry out customer site visits to take dimensions for the production of site drawings for customer approvals.
• Provide electronic data to be used in the production of factory cutting lists and provide detailed manufacturing drawings for complex parts, (these will be defined in the CAD models)
• Work with the Production Manager to produce manufacturing packs from drawings.
• Respond to customer enquiries regarding estimates for Aaztec products via telephone or email.
• To provide support in the factory, as and when requested to do so.
• Design new products and update existing product lines.

Person Specification:
The ideal Graduate CAD Technician will have:

• Design/Engineering based qualifications – i.e. A Levels/ BTEC/ Apprenticeship/Degree;
• Knowledge of CAD on either Inventor/AutoCAD/Solidworks;
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, being able to build positive customer relationships quickly;
• Experience in a similar role would be highly beneficial.

Full driving licence and own transport necessary due to location of client.
