Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager opportunity working for a great PLC employer in Harrogate due to a retirement.
Role Details:
• £35K basic – realistic OTE £60K.
• Company car.
• Full time, permanent, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm – 1 hour lunch.
• Hybrid working element after probation.

Job Role:
The main purpose of the Business Development Manager is to prospect and obtain new customers for the business in a corporate market.
Key duties include:
• To be fully conversant with all products supplied by the company, including Finance Leasing, Contract Hire, Contract Purchase, Fleet Management, Maintenance Management and Accident Management.
• To take sales lead in introducing new products and services to the market and presenting these products and services to customers and prospects.
• Assist the Sales Director in developing a Business Development Sales & Marketing Plan and take ownership in delivering the plan.
• Develop new marketing and promotion initiatives and implement agreed initiatives.
• To work with a minimum of supervision but with the guidance of the Sales Director in developing and servicing our customers and prospective customers.
• To complete all routine reports and tasks in line with agreed timescales and standards.
• To complete all tasks reasonably requested and to feedback progress within an acceptable period.
• To work within pre-set quotation parameters prepared by the management team.
• To maintain regular contact with customers and prospective customers and ensure effective liaison between our customers and company departments.
• To consistently purport a professional image to our customers.
• To ensure that services supplied are fully paid for within approved time scales.
• To ensure that all customer records i.e. computer database and central file information outlining the customers general requirements are current and accurate.
• To prepare for and attend customer, prospective customer presentations, meetings and functions as required.
• To attend agreed training courses, both in-house and external.
Business Development Manager Specification:
The ideal Business Development Manager:
• MUST have recent and relevant experience in a similar role.
• MUST have experience of meeting established KPIs/targets/measurables.
• Have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Be honest, self-motivated, reliable and tenacious.
• Be well organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Be able to communicate and articulate well both verbal and written.
• Be flexible, adaptable and professional in their approach to work.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
