Workshop Engineer opportunity with a well – established and successful business based in waste management and located in Knaresborough.

Job Description:
Key responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer include:
• Inspecting used balers and compactors
• Diagnosing faults and problem solving to repair
• Refurbishing balers and compactors to a high standard
• Working on hydraulics and electrical circuits
• Preparation of digital service reports
• Slinging and lifting machinery
• Reading and interpreting engineer drawings
• Working with other internal departments
• Installation, commissioning, staff training of Balers and Compactors
Workshop Engineer Specification:
The ideal Workshop Engineer will:
• Have experience working on Balers and Compactors (desirable)
• Have experience working in a workshop (desirable)
• Have electric experience
• Have hydraulic experience
• Welding experience
• Fabrication experience (desirable)
• A full, clean UK driving licence, with own transport
Forklift Truck licence preferred; training will be provided if not.
Some flexibility will be required around working hours, to get the job finished. Overtime will be paid.
The Workshop Engineer is primarily workshop based. On occasion, you could be required to work out in the field supporting other engineers, dependant on business needs.
